Catch Up

Don't worry, we are still alive!  For whatever reason, I kind of lost the desire to blog for a while.  But I am back!  So thanks to my two cute sisters in law and their new blogs for motivating me to document our days.

Our lives have been pretty crazy these last 6 months!  I spend most of my time chasing around this little crazy....

In April, we drove to Utah for my gorgeous friend Brooke's wedding.  She has been one of my best friends since 9th grade.  I can't even imagine my high school and college years without her.  If you don't know this girl, I feel sorry for you!

Then, Whitney and I threw Jordan a wedding shower!  I had a little too much fun planning this, and it turned out great!

(and a special thanks to my oh-so-talented mom for making the banner in the background!)

The first part of our summer was spent just playing around!  Jackson loves being outside, so we had more than a few visits to parks and pools.  Its debatable who had more fun playing with our friends.... We also had a visit from the Adcox's as they drove to their new home in Nashville.  It was so much fun having one of my sisters here to see where we live!

I learned a very important lesson over these few months.  Its that boys are CRAZY!!!  Okay maybe not all boys, but my boy is nuts.  As soon as he learned to walk, he started to run.  He is a walking disaster, and makes it pretty hard to get anything done.  But guess what?  I wouldn't change a thing!  My crazy boy is nothing short of perfect in my eyes.  He is going to give me a few heart attacks over the years, but he will give me even more laughs.

Stay tuned for some more catching up!  Look for a post on Jimmy and Jords wedding, our exciting new home plans, and our trip to Hawaii.

Mr. Moomoo turns one!

Time for playing a little catch up!  On February 22nd, our little Jax turned one!  Hard to believe an entire year has passed since our favorite little guy joined our family.  We started the celebration a little early with the Wonnacott's.

Mr. Moomoo loved his cake, and of course the attention!  Isn't this the most adorable cake?

We decided to head to AZ to play with cousins for the big day!
(These boy are going to kill me for this picture someday)
Jax was in heaven with his cousins and papas yard!
 Birthday breakfast!

We had a little barbecue with some friends and family.  I am kicking myself for not taking more pictures!  It really was such a special day.  Jackson is one loved little guy by so many!

Clearly, he HATED his cake!  This kid can eat, especially if its made of sugar!

Hard to believe I have a one year old!   Jax decided to finish his special day by taking about 10 steps in a row for the first time!  And within about a week or two, he was a walking extraordinare!  Our first year with Jax was nothing short of incredible.  Sure, he wasn't a very good sleeper.  And we had our struggles with nursing.  But from day one, he was the sweetest boy.  He started smiling early, and hasn't stopped yet.  To say he has been a joy in our home is such an understatement.  Babies just don't come any better, and I am so grateful he's mine!

The last few weeks

If you know me, you know I am not a fan of winter.  But having a house, a garage, and a cute little buddy helps make it bearable.  Okay fine, I guess I am being a bit dramatic.  Here is what we have been up to:

Lots of playing with toys

Building forts

Cheesy smiles

Trips to the cabin to play in the snow

A park trip on a sunny nice day!

And our favorite adventure... a weekend trip to Arizona!  I was able to go to one of my best friend Courtney's baby shower, walked through the Gilbert temple (which was absolutely incredible), and playing with our cousins and friends.  We missed Dad, but our weekend went by far too quickly.

And finally, dinner with friends, cheering on the Broncos (which unfortunately was a let down), and chasing our crazy boy around.  Getting his dressed and changing his diaper is starting to resemble WW3.

11 Months old

As of January 22nd, my little Mr. Moomoo is 11 months old.  I just can't believe how fast this last year has gone.  I am so sad to see this baby stage come to an end!  At least I have 1 more month to enjoy my baby.  And I guess this whole growing up thing isn't so bad... I am enjoying my sleep after all!
Am I a bad mom for thinking this picture is hysterical?
I get this face multiple times a day....This kid!
